Handbags
What’s your handbag jam? When I spy an irresistible handbag, I find it hard to pass it up, especially if it fits my requirements; a phone pouch, crossbody design, and compartments for lip-gloss, eyeglasses, and sunnies! I have a rotating collection of vintage and new, come to think if it, some of my “new” handbags are defiantly vintage by now. I tend to hang onto them until they are threadbare and way past their best before date.
The first bag, in the row above, is a fluffy and playful number from PRIMECUT located in Portland, Oregon, it is also available in downtown Victoria at Footloose Shoes. PRIMECUT has a fantastic lineup of bags including fanny packs and pouches. The second is a tote made here in Victoria using the printing table canvas at Smoking Lily, no two are alike, so you can pick whichever one strikes your fancy. To round up the top row is a bag by Clare V. made in LA. While summer has passed, this is a great one to keep in mind for next spring, available at ad hoc in Penticton, B.C.
The bags below represent a few of my collection, including a studded bag I purchased 15 years ago from Still Life, in Victoria; a colourful snakeskin vintage bag, and finally a cobalt leather fanny pack from Vintage After Death, also located in downtown Victoria.
Whatever your jam, choose one which makes your eyes light up!
